Denver-Broncos-wallpaper.jpg

My favorite NFL team is the Denver Broncos. The thing I like about the Broncos is that we got the number one draft pick on the whole NFL. The best player on the team is Peyton Manning, he was the number one draft pick. We are going into the playoffs this year. In my opinion the Broncos are the best team in the whole NFL.

Upcoming Holidays

The first thing I have to bring up is Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving and the fall, because you get to eat turkey and pie. I also want to bring up Christmas and how it’s Jesus's birthday and that’s why we get presents. I have wanted a new video game. I hope every one has a great Holiday.

Dubstep is a type of music that is every day getting popular and mainstream, (kind of sucks but it's happening). There are several dupstep dj’s that I suggest every one check out the're really good and if you like some good dupstep you’ll like them too: Zom Boy, Afro Jack, Rusko, Excision, Kode9, and Benny Banassi, these are some of my favorites. They are my favorites because they are original, one of a kind. They stand out and they have some of the best bass drops and beats and it just makes you feel so good when you listen to the music. Plus they tell a story through the beats instead of through words. On a rating 1-5 one being the worst, I would give a ten on dubstep altogether.

Book Review
It Happened to Nancy that is the name of my book. It is about a fourteen year old girl and she meets this guy at a concert. She finds out he’s nineteen and they start seeing each other and they go on a couple of dates. On the last one he ends up raping her and leaving her with Aids. She pours all of her deep and sad feelings into this book and it is based on a true story.

Thanksgiving
external image thanksgiving2012.jpg

I love Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a day that I spend time with my loved ones. My family cooks up a great big turkey and we all cook a feast of meals. My favorite memories of Thanksgiving were when I was a kid sitting at my grandparents house talking and going off on life with the whole family. My grandma passed away and ever since then we have had dinner at all the aunts and uncles houses. We all get together the night before and plan out who and what each of our families will cook for the family tradition. We all cook up our individual meals and we travel from house to house eating and visiting each other. The most fun part about it all is eating the different foods and spending time in your aunts and uncles homes with all my cousins.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work; Dizzy Wright.
This song is by Dizzy Wright, he’s an underground artist. It is a really good song. The lyrics of this song are sick. The way the rapper raps it is just amazing. He’s one of the sickest rappers out there. He’s part of Funk Volume. He raps a lot with Hopsin, And Swizz. Main verse of the song: “Teamwork makes the Dream work you seem good and you seem dirt, you all in when the dream work“.

Kid Cudikid.jpg
He’s one of my favorites- this year it’s a pretty close tie between Potluck, Wiz, and Asap rocky. All their songs are always great. If you’re ever feeling down and you need a song to jam out to, Dat New New and Mojo So Dope always grabs me. I love it. I love a lot of his songs though they always seem to put you in that up beat mood. You know that Cudi “zone”. His birthday is in a few months on January 30th, so hopefully he does something sick, but until then enjoy the zone!

The Baby Brianna Story

July 19, 2002 was the day Brianna Lopez died. Through the 6 months of her life, she was beaten, and sexually abused by her own family. Her little body was covered in bruises, scratches, bite-marks, and cigarette burns. The night before Brianna died, Andy Walters (Father), and Steven Flores (uncle), threw her up in the air, she hit the ceiling and they did not catch her. A massive hit to the head killed her. Thinking to myself, how someone could possibly do this to a baby, she was just a baby. When I read this story, it broke my heart; I couldn’t help but feel empathy for this baby. It truly impacted me, because I could relate to this story. I know what being beaten feels like; I understand the pain that this baby went through. When investigators found her, she had old and new bruises all over her body. She also had old skull fractures. She had bleeding on the brain, meaning that she was abused physically her entire life. How could someone do this to a poor, innocent baby? Brianna’s grandparents knew the entire time, what was happening to her, yet they never reported it. How could someone just stand there, act like nothing is wrong with what was being done? Brianna’s grandparents and uncle, received 30 days in prison, (1 year max.) Personally, a year is not enough. They deserve to be put away longer, (especially the uncle.) Baby Brianna is now locked up in a cage built around her grave by her family to keep the community who loved her so much out. It is a mess, unkempt and full of trash. I didn’t know this little girl, but I can’t help but feel love towards her.

MORE DUBSTEP

zedd_artist_banner4.jpg

So what’s with all this “dubstep” nonsense you whipper snappers keep going on about? Well Grammy Mammy, to put it simply it’s the new generation of sound. It’s been around for a while but it’s comin’ up fast so put away your prune juice and get with it or get out of my car so I can bomb the subs".

Dubstep originated in South London in the UK. Possibly the best things the Brits have ever done for the world. Thank you party loving tea drinkers, I raise my pinky to you in salute. Dubstep evolved from a form of techno known as dub-reggae. This is why if you download a lot of UK dubstep mixes you’ll hear reggae vocals. So no, Bob Marley was not a closet DJ. There are all kinds of sub-genres of dubstep that focus on particular styles of beats and bass. Stuff like Chillstep and Lovestep are more relaxed, while stuff like Gorestep goes heavy and hard with the drop and bass. A lot of mainstream music is incorporating generic house beats or mild dubstep drops into their songs. The problem with this is that their messing it up (the full word is “firetrucking” thank you very much). It’ll probably be a little while before any of us bass heads will get any good stuff on the radio, so for now it’s best to stick to the underground and labeled artists. Some of the best music labels are Mau5trap, and OWSLA. Mau5trap records lists many well known (at least among bass heads) like Deadmau5, Feed Me, Excision, and Foreign Beggars. OWSLA lists many artists like Zedd, Porter Robinson, Sub Focus, Kill the Noise, and now Skrillex. If you’re interested in dubstep or similar music, some good things to look up are UKF, and Dub-Level.com.

Book Review on Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul 2
imagesCA4GPCLL.jpg
This book is about 101 and more stories about life; love and learning. It is a very inspiring book, it is sad to read some of the stories, but they teach you a lesson. The stories in this book are all very different they all teach you a very valuable lesson. This book has 8 different topics these topics are on relationships, on friendship, on love and kindness, tough stuff, on family, learning lessons, making a difference, and on growing up. The two stories that inspired me the most were, Hero of the Hood and Tell Me Why You Cry, they were both very sad stories written by teenage kids, but they taught me a very valuable lesson that people die and I will miss them but I have to move on. The second lesson I learned is that if I think I have a horrible life there is someone out there who really has a worse life than me and they are grateful that they are alive and they don’t whine and pout about how horrible their life is.
